Here are some basic tips and instructions for re-rooting or adding streaks.
THE TOOLS
The needles are about 4 inches long. You can buy them at Craft's n Stuff about $4.00 for a package of 2.
I use the pliers to pull the needle thru the head.
THE HAIR
You can use either new hair from a beauty supply store or donor hair.

Work in small sections
WET THE HAIR!
Makes is so much easier to work with! Separate it into smaller strands for rooting.

Flatten the wet hair with your fingers, makes it easier to thread the needle.
STAB your victim! Believe me she didn't even flinch!

Pull the hair thru the bottom neck opening and knot it.
Now pull the strand at the top of the head back thru the top.

Ok here goes!
Cut up a doll stocking to hold the hair in place for "setting".
First comb the bangs where you want them and the thickness. Then wrap the stocking around the head like below.
Make sure the stocking is TIGHT around the head!
If you decide to use ribbon never use a colored piece of ribbon or any material it STAINS!
PIN the stocking in place as such below.
I have been using hot water from my coffee maker, hot enough to set the hair and NOT melt it! IF you want you can add a teaspoonful of liquid fabric softner to the water, makes the hair soft and smelling great!
Pour it slowly over the head, comb as you go along, this way it will dry straight.
Sometimes if I'm in a hurry I place the doll in front of a small fan on a low speed, she's cooked in an hour!
Remove the stocking when dry, the results are below.
NOW you can cut the bangs!

You can also gel them later if you want.
For straight hair as below, just slowly pour hot water over the dolls head and comb once in a while. Let it dry.
